Environmental issuesAll products used in the card making process are natural and locally sourced and every effort is made to manage the waste in a responsible way. A waste treatment plant has recently been installed in the paper making unit.
We hope that this system can be used as a model for other industries in the area that are unfamiliar with such processes. All dyes used for the coloured card are “safe dyes” which are ISO 9001 accredited and meet European standards on effluence and toxicology.
> See our handmade charity Christmas card designs Thank you so much for visiting our site. We are sorry but due to overwhelming demand following the article on Sreepur Village in The Guardian on Saturday 14th November our stock of handmade Christmas cards has completely sold out. All the cards are hand-made in Bangladesh and so unfortunately there are strict practical limits on how many we can produce each year. We will be however delighted to put you on our priority contact list for next year, enabling you to be given the first opportunity to buy our 2010 Christmas cards. Please send an e-mail to orders@sreepurcards.org with the subject line "Priority 2010" and we shall contact you as soon as they become available.
