It’s been a bumpy start to the 2022-23 campaign for the Heat.

Miami lost five of its first seven games, dropping the team to No. 12 in the Eastern Conference standings in late October. On top of the early struggles, the Heat are also dealing with injury problems, as six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler was forced to sit out their last game.

What is Jimmy Butler’s injury?

Butler was a late scratch for Heat’s Nov. 2 matchup with the Kings. Miami listed him as out with left hip tightness.

With Butler sidelined, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra deployed a starting five of Kyle Lowry, Tyler Herro, Max Strus, Caleb Martin and Bam Adebayo. Herro led the team with 26 points and 12 rebounds in Miami’s 110-107 win.

How long will Jimmy Butler be out?

The Heat have not yet released their injury report for their next game, so it is unclear if Butler will be available to play on Nov. 4 against the Pacers.

Butler is averaging 21.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game this season while shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from 3-point range.
