Going (going) back (back) to Cali (Cali)?
Odell Beckham Jr. won his long-awaited Super Bowl ring as a member of the Rams, but the wideout was attached to the 49ers prior to signing with Los Angeles. That’s a trend that has seemingly continued.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter took some time to offer informed speculation on Beckham to the 49ers on Monday, citing past history between the two parties and also the 49ers’ current wide receiver depth as reasons that the move makes sense.

Schefter’s speculation:
If they keep winning, why would they not look at him? They were interested in him last year, I think he’d like to be in L.A. But look, they could certainly use another wide receiver. … To me, that’s an intriguing match, and we’ll see if the two sides feel the same way that we all do.
Deebo Samuel missed the Week 8 win over the Rams with a hamstring injury, and outside of the top three of Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle, the San Francisco receiving options are fairly limited.
Adding Beckham would give Kyle Shanahan’s offense another versatile chess piece to pair with Aiyuk and Samuel, and keep adding to a passing offense that has moved the ball pretty well over their last three weeks.

Beckham, still a free agent, is expected to make a decision on his next stop in the coming weeks as he recovers from ACL injury suffered in the Super Bowl. He has drawn interest from the Rams and Bills, most notably, with the Rams keeping his locker open for him.
So, for now, there doesn’t seem to be any concrete evidence that the 49ers are chasing after Beckham, but history is history.
