The Titans are in a tailspin, and things will only get tougher for them in Week 17 when the Cowboys come to town.
It’s a “Thursday Night Football” matchup with plenty of playoff implications. The Titans desperately need a win to keep their hopes of winning the AFC South alive, while the Cowboys still have an outside chance of winning the NFC East if they can win their final two games.
Tennessee has watched its once-commanding lead in the division slip away after a woeful five game losing streak. Last time out, the season bottomed out with a horrendous 19-14 loss to Houston — the NFL’s worst team by record.
Derrick Henry continues to dominate on the ground on a weekly basis, but he hasn’t been getting much help from the rest of his teammates. Rookie quarterback Malik Willis has struggled in the first few starts of his NFL career, while a makeshift offensive line and a subpar receiving corps continue to cause issues.

On the other side, the Cowboys are flying high after handing the Eagles just their second loss of the season last time out. It was an excellent way to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Jaguars in Week 15, and it keeps their slim hopes of stealing the division title alive — at least for now.
Dak Prescott was outstanding, racking up 347 yards and 3 touchdowns, while CeeDee Lamb continued to show why he’s considered one of the best offensive players in he league with 10 catches for 120 yards and 2 TDs. It led the team to a 40-34 win over a Philly team without its usual starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts.
