Latest Arsenal transfer news
Arsenal’s transfer rumours this January have largely been fueled by an injury to striker Gabriel Jesus, who came up with a knee issue at the World Cup that required surgery.
There’s a belief that Jesus could be out for up to three months, requiring the Gunners to find other options to keep themselves atop the Premier League.
Along with the biggest Arsenal news around Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Ferran Torres, there are also a few other rumours to keep an eye on.
- Arsenal have been linked with interest in Alexis Mac Allister after his starring World Cup performances, but reports state that he’s “not a priority” for the Gunners.
- The Gunners were also linked to another World Cup star in Goncalo Ramos, but there is now recent word that Benfica will hope to keep the young striker through the summer and search for a move then.

Atletico Madrid ready to sell Joao Felix
Arsenal are one of two major players in for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix, according to a host or reports in England.
The 23-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Spanish side, and reports of a chilly relationship with coach Diego Simeone has made his future at the club uncertain. He’s often been asked about playing as a forward in Simeone’s defensive system, and with just one start in the club’s last 10 league games, he could be looking for a new challenge.
It wasn’t long ago that Atletico Madrid spent €127 million on Felix as a teenager, and it will likely require something of at least €100 million to pry Felix away permanently. Instead, Arsenal could look for a six-month loan move, according to reports by The Mirror and Metro. Those reports state a loan fee of €8 million plus 100 percent of Felix’s wages would be required to complete that deal.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the links to both Arsenal and Manchester United in an interview with GiveMeSport.

Gunners lead the race for Ukraine star Mykhailo Mudryk
Arsenal have been linked to young Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk for months, and this January could be when the Gunners pounce. The 21-year-old has seven goals and six assists in 12 Ukrainian top-flight matches for Shakhtar Donetsk, plus another three goals and two assists in six Champions League games.
The Ukrainian league breaks through January, so it affords Arsenal a chance to make a move. The Shakhtar Donetsk sporting director Carlo Nicolini stated in late December that Arsenal are indeed interested, but he said they have competition from other parties.
The initial reports had Shakhtar hoping to hold out for around €100 million, but lately that number has cooled after Mudryk posted a cryptic Instagram message stating he believes he’s worth more like half that value, possibly hoping to force a move.
Barcelona fire sale could see Premier League return for Ferran Torres
Reports in Spain first connected former Man City forward Ferran Torres to Arsenal back in early December, and the rumour has only gained further steam since then.
Torres, a member of the Spain squad for the World Cup this past month, has struggled for time at Barcelona. He began as a starter early in the season but failed to impress and dropped to the bench behind the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Raphinha, and Ansu Fati.
Just days before the January transfer window, English journalist Dean Jones said to GiveMeSport that Arsenal “really like” Torres, and believe he could be had this winter should Barcelona look to raise funds for other moves.
