Thursday Night Football FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 17 Cowboys-Titans single-game tournaments

In the final Thursday Night Football game of 2022, the Cowboys will go on the road to play the Titans to kick off Week 17. Dallas is coming off a hard-fought 40-34 win over the Eagles last week and is listed as 10-point favorites on Thursday night, according to BetMGM. The Titans are struggling at the wrong time, as they’ve lost five consecutive games. This seemingly uneven matchup presents plenty of unique lineup opportunities for NFL DFS players playing in FanDuel single-game tournaments.

Before we get into our picks and strategy, here are the notable scoring settings for FanDuel single-game contests: The point total for the “MVP” is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn’t cost any additional money like the “Captain” in DraftKings Showdown contests. FanDuel’s default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs, and there are no bonuses for 300-yard/100-yard games like on DraftKings.

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Cowboys vs. Titans Week 17 Thursday Night Football

$60,000 budget, need at least one player from each team

MVP (1.5x points): WR CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys ($15,000)

Lamb is coming off an outstanding performance against the Eagles last week, recording 10 receptions (11 targets) for 120 yards and two touchdowns. The former first-round pick has scored 10 or more FanDuel points in four out of his past five games and will look to carry that momentum into Thursday’s game against Tennessee. The Titans have struggled against wide receivers, allowing the most FanDuel points (30.9) and the second-most touchdowns (19) this season. If Lamb went off against an Eagles’ secondary, one of the best in the league, we should expect better numbers against the Titans’ 31st-ranked pass defense.

FLEX QB Dak Prescott, Cowboys ($17,500)

With Lamb in our MVP slot, it’s only right to stack him with Prescott. Prescott had a rough start in last week’s win against the Eagles but ultimately scored a season-high 28.98 FanDuel points. Prescott has scored 20-plus FanDuel points in back-to-back games and will now play a disappointing Titans’ pass defense. This season, Tennessee has allowed 279.6 passing yards per game and the third-most FanDuel points to QBs (20.8). If the Titans cannot pressure Prescott, he should be in store for another good outing on Thursday night.

WEEK 17 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

FLEX RB Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys ($13,000)

Elliott has quietly been one of the best running backs in fantasy during the second half of the season. He scored a rushing touchdown in his eighth-straight game last week against the Eagles, and he’s now averaging 15.6 FanDuel points per game in that span. Tennessee allows the fourth-fewest FanDuel points to RBs this season (17), so Elliott doesn’t have as high of a ceiling as usual, but it’s hard to pass on him based on what he’s done over the past two months.

WEEK 17 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

FLEX TE Dalton Schultz, Cowboys ($9,000)

With it being a lot of attention on the Cowboys’ wide receivers, Schultz could make some plays on Thursday. The veteran tight end had a solid performance against the Eagles, recording three receptions (four targets) for 43 yards. Schultz’s production has been up and down this season, as he’s only averaging 6.8 FanDuel points per game. However, he could have a breakout performance against the Titans’ defense that allows the sixth-most FanDuel points to tight ends (11.2). Tennessee does not give up a lot of touchdowns to the position, but it’s allowed the most receiving yards.

WEEK 17 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel

FLEX RB Hassan Haskins, Titans ($6,000)

Haskins will be getting a lot more run than usual on Thursday night with superstar running back Derrick Henry (hip) officially listed as doubtful. Haskins is in line to handle the bulk of the carries with Henry potentially not playing against the Cowboys. The rookie running back doesn’t need to do much to pay off his paltry salary, so either we have a chalky “must play” or we have a big-time differentiator in our lineup.
