What channel is Canada vs. Germany on today? Start time, live stream for 2023 World Juniors game

Both Canada and Germany are looking for their first wins at the 2023 World Juniors as the two Group A opponents meet tonight in Halifax.

After winning all of their contests at the summer tournament, Canada dropped its opener, losing 5-2 to Czechia on Monday night. The reigning gold medalists received poor goaltending and had multiple breakdowns on their own zone, resulting in the upset loss.

“What I said to our group is, ‘We’ll see what our team’s like in the next 48 hours, how resilient we are, because it’s easy to win & cruise on through. Now, it will tell us what type of group we got in there,'” Canada head coach Dennis Williams said after the loss.

While Czechia now has the inside track for the top spot in the group, there are still plenty of group play games to be played, including Canada’s match with Germany.

The Germans are coming off a close 1-0 loss to Sweden on Tuesday afternoon. Nikita Quapp did everything in his power to get the Germans a win, turning aside 43 of the 44 shots he faced. However, Germany could not beat Carl Lindbom and a tally by Adam Engstrom proved to be the difference maker.
